I have been away for a long time but I am back and ready for action.

Convo w Mom last night…

Mom: Hey, what are you doing?

Me: Reading my tumblr threads.

Mom: What are you doing???

Me: Nothing.

Mom: What is that?  blogs?

Me: yea, mom, blogs!

Mom: This blog stuff doesn’t sound like a good idea Jessica. I don’t think you should do it. It sounds dangerous.

Me: Ok Mom. I’ll stop.

If she only knew the things I did that are actually dangerous…

I love Labor Day. It represents so many wonderful things, i.e. it makes me feel like I am a hard worker year round…. absolutely not true. It’s a day that everyone world wide can appreciate the hard work I accomplish on a daily basis… thank you, hold your applause to the end. It also gives me a reason to sit back, relax, do nothing and not feel like i am taking advantage of someone somewhere who is no doubt picking up my slack, which is how I feel when I do that on a non-Labor Day. It also makes me feel like I am part of some old timer workers union that rallied for days to have 1 day a year where work wasn’t expected of them and for their hard work to be celebrated (I have no idea how labor day came about)… Thank you old timers, now I can go out on a sunday, get totally trashed, make bad decisions and feel nauseous and throw up all day instead of working.

In celebration of this glorious day, I have tons of friends coming to the city hoping for the kind of feeling I have just explained and God as my witness, I will fulfill that feeling with good food, good company and too many shots. 

Thank you Labor Day, we welcome you with Jack on the rocks!

I thoroughly enjoyed myself last night at the Back 40 crab boil. My fingers hurt like hell today but it was all worth it. Thank you baby “boy” for letting me lose that bet so you could buy me dinner.

I want to send out awesomeness to my fab friend EliciaBG and her set of 2… so much face time… you’re right, you can’t be a rock star unless you live like one and you my friend are livin’!!!!  All of you down there in the rain, do what the signs say and rock out with your cocks out and thank Elicia for her time and efforts.

Yessssssss

I finally got a reservation for the crab boil @ Back 40!!!!! I am so excited…. it only took every Wednesday morning for the last 6 weeks but I did it!

And for the Tumblr record…. I think computer people are awesome and those of you in the world that don’t consider yourselves a “computer person,” will find you have been left in the dust by a younger, more educated and employed crowd of computer people!
